An authentic Leslie speaker emulation

The LX122 Premium Leslie speaker emulation is the indispensable companion for your keyboards and organ.

A classic Leslie speaker consists of two driver units - a stationary treble unit with spinning horns (Horn in the LX122), and a stationary woofer and spinning rotor (Drum in the LX122), with two filters dividing the frequency spectrum between the horn and the woofer.

Both the horns and a built-in sound baffle for the bass rotate to create Doppler effect based vibrato, tremolo and chorus effects. The rotating elements can be stopped, switched between slow (chorale) and fast (tremolo), or transitioned between the two settings. This unit creates the classic 'Leslie' effect.

The LX122 Premium emulates the Horn and the Drum, as well as different small to large room environments. It also emulates the smooth creamy tube base amplifier as well as the intrinsic characteristics of the Drum (woofer response and drum size) or the Horn (Tweeter response, horn size and diffusers).

The internal cabinet reflections, which give the Leslie its famous mellow sound, are also emulated but with the unique added possibility of increasing or decreasing the reflections. So you can go from the standard closed cabinet to rotating speakers without any cabinet at all.

If you like to tweak parameters you will love the LX122 Premium. You can build your own cabinet even change its characteristics radically. If you want to experiment further in recording this device, you can do it with two independent microphones in various rooms of your choosing. A wide range of stereo effects, spacial environments, pitch modifications and are at your fingertips.

Features :

  • A finely tweaked and emulated Top Octave Divider aliasing free oscillator, providing up to 49 - accurately emulated Leslie style rotating speakers, treble output in a rotating Horn, bass output in a rotating drum.
  • True Stereo Dynamic Engine (TSDE) places the cabinet in a room of your choosing
  • Three different Reverb types, to give even more space to your recordings
  • Slow to Fast mode buttons, completely midi controllable
  • Vintage Tube amplifier emulation
  • Reverb time and frequency response are easily adjusted
  • High pass filter before the reverb to add focus to the sound and avoid masking effects
  • Recording microphone angles and position can be changed, adding more or less room effects
  • Drive parameter help you to get more distorted heavy rock sounds
